About us
What is the Retrofit Skills Centre?
The Retrofit Skills Centre is a one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about upskilling in retrofit. With 635,000 South London homes to make more energy efficient in the next 10 years there’s a lot of work to be done, and we want you to be part of it. Our aim is to signpost you to the right training, qualifications and events that will unlock more work locally and help you to become a crucial part of the retrofit revolution.
The Retrofit Skills Centre is a collaboration with the South London Partnership and is funded by the Department of Energy, Security and Net Zero via the Greater South East Net Zero Hub.
SLP – Who Are We
The South London Partnership (SLP) is a sub-regional collaboration of London boroughs – Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton and Wandsworth. SLP champions and seeks to build on the many strengths of South London as a place for people to live, work and thrive. We are ambitious for our future – for the opportunities it can offer people and businesses and for the contribution we can make to London and the whole of the UK.
Building on many years of collaborative working, SLP focuses on issues where working together can add value to what individual boroughs could achieve on their own.
By working together, we add value to the activity led by individual boroughs through collaboration and co-ordination, strategy and policy development, promotion and representation, and delivering joint programmes (currently worth £25 million).
Green Skills
The South London Partnership’s Green Skills Academy seeks to equip south Londoners with the skills they need to harness current and future jobs that will support national ambition of carbon net zero by 2050. By collaborating with training providers and employers across south London we are working to ensure that the supply of green skills meets the demand of our employers.
